**In this position you will....**

assess, monitor and improve the underwriting profitability of the portfolio. Lead the actuarial reserving process for bolttech group and assist Group Finance in performance measurement of reinsurance entity. Manage carrier relationships to underwrite the programs managed by our distribution businesses in North Asia. Drive insights from reports and develop a growing profitable business. Explore new programs and products to boost the topline and bottom-line

**You will be responsible for**
- Leading actuarial reserving process with actuarial firm and internal stakeholders covering Group Finance and underwriting.
- Actuarial scope to cover bolttech captive reinsurance entity and other balance sheet exposures that bolttech have globally

Monitoring reinsurance entity performance across the region Underwriting governance and adherence to insurance requirements
- Carrier (insurers) relationship management ownership for mainly North Asia
- Profitability analysis & ownership for each bolttech market
- Reinsurance Strategy - design & implementation of reinsurance structures
- Setting-up the reporting of profitability trends by each carrier and region for profitability monitoring
- Reviewing sales and claims data to analyse the portfolio in detail and make recommendations to enhance profitability for bolttech captive
- Supporting finance and data team to give feedback and improve the quality of financial statements to carriers and streamline the process

**You will require the following qualifications and skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a qualification(s) in Actuarial Science.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in General Insurance (direct insurer/reinsurer). Having worked with an insurtech is beneficial.
- Exposure to underwriting / pricing and profitability control is required.
- Experience in reinsurance placements in coordination with reinsurers and insurers will be a plus.
- Relationship management skills with external stakeholders like insurers and reinsurers.
- Extensive knowledge of products like mobile protection, extended warranty is preferred.
- Excellent data analytic skills preferred for portfolio management and profit and loss analysis.
- Actuarial background would be advantageous.
