We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **VP Product, Protection & Health Lead, Life Product Development.**
**Principal Responsibilities**
We are looking for a Protection & Health Product Lead to drive and oversee the product development, product management and delivery of the Protection & Health product lines supporting the company’s product and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively drive the Protection & Health product strategy and wider product roadmap & implementation to deliver the Company’s business plans and objectives
- Protection & Health products include, but are not limited to, term, critical illness, disability, long term care, accidental and medical products, and riders
- Develop strong culture of product innovation through regular focus group with distribution partners (focus on agency, FA, Sing Post) and internal stakeholders and reinsurers
- Actively keep up to date with market developments through market intelligence and research, transforming these into a competitive analysis and proposals for business decision
- Review product suite and provide recommendations for new product development or enhancements and any product rationalization or withdrawals balancing customer proposition, distribution feedback and financial sustainability
- Ensure the product design complies with MAS, MOH, LIA guidelines as well as the HSBC Life requirements
- Lead the team in the overall product development process from conceptualization to launch
- Collaborate closely with the wider business function stakeholders to ensure products are successfully launched as per agreed product roadmap
- Oversee the overall local and group governance and adherence of HSBC internal guidelines/requirements and policies including post launch product launch review and monitoring
- Develop product development talent within the team and manage team’s resourcing and priorities
- Provide sales support and handle enquiries from distribution channels or internal stakeholders in matters related to products
Requirements
- 10 years of relevant product development experience in life insurance industry with in-depth knowledge of Singapore life insurance market especially Protection and Health products
- Strong business acumen, stakeholder management and communication skills, with proven ability to influence and work with people from different business functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A positive, enthusiastic, committed and ‘can do’ attitude team lead
- Graduate in Actuarial Science, Business Management, or related fields of study
