**Roles and Responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer position.**

Primary Functions:

Supervise a team of Production Technicians to achieve the output, productivity and quality

objectives/KPIs.

To plan and assign duties of employees daily, including shift duties and overtime work.

To supervise all machine set-up and part changeover - sheet, rod and welding rod extruders

To analyze possible causes of extruder process problems and machine/equipment breakdown

problems.

To perform 1st level trouble-shooting and repair to up machine.

To minimize waste in production and all areas.

To maintain good 5S Housekeeping work-safe working environment in the plant.

Identify and initiate measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.

Assist Production Management on yield and process improvement initiatives.

Assist Production Management on trials and evaluations on new materials, processes and/or new

product introduction.

**Other Functions: **

To consistently review and recommend process improvement, standardization and optimization.

To assist the Production Manager in implementing productivity improvement projects.

Any other duties/projects as assign by the Production Manager/Factory Operations Manager.

**Requirements: **

Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or higher.

2 to 5 years’ experience in process engineering in a manufacturing shop-floor.

Effective oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Team player and commitment to work in Plastics processing and manufacturing environment.

Able to perform shift work whenever necessary.

Basic Salary : S$2,500 - S$3,500
