The Assistant Manager will ensure the smooth running of Financial Operations in Singapore for FSMK. He/she will play a key role in implementing maintaining highly scalable processes and enhance operational efficiency and productivity whilst concurrently ensuring a superior customer experience and proper operational risk controls. The role focuses on optimizing processes related to the reconciliation of transactions for the SG Business Unit. The Assistant Manager will also be the “first level of escalation” for Operations Executives within the team for the managing of day-to-day transactions and reconciliation.

**What you will do**:

- Accountable for day-to-day cash/transaction operations, reconciliation and its related KPIs - TAT, productivity and capacity
- Responsible for ensuring that the Operations team process and reconcile day-to-day transactions timely and accurately (including but not limited to, disbursal, repayments, refunds)
- Innovating and improving operational processes and flows as needs arise; including, but not limited to automating operations.
- Streamline and standardise operations where applicable.
- Assist the Operations Manager to manage any operational risk, including taking remedy action, if required
- Implementing various initiatives for Singapore, with focus on the operational needs (e.g. maximizing features such Virtual Accounts and APIs with local bank(s) to enhance operational effectiveness)
- Leading and/or participating in multi-functional ad hoc projects / working groups, particularly those focused on improving operational efficiencies - may include automation, process change, process streamline etc.
- Partner and work with Finance, Compliance, Risk teams ensuring that we operate within and uphold the relevant regulation standards.
- Maintaining and supervising documentation of processes and decisions
- Cover any operational gaps as and when required.
- Any other ad hoc task assigned

**Requirements**:
**What we are looking for**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in ledger management or accounting (preferably with added experience in process optimization).
- Meticulous and detail-oriented especially in checking and submitting data on spreadsheets.
- Able to see both the “larger picture” and the details.
- Resilience and tenacity, not knocked down by difficult situations and times.
- Independent worker who does not require excessive hand-holding.
- Excited by enhancing operational efficiencies and productivity (e.g. do better, do faster, do less).
- Enjoy translating analysis results into actionable business recommendations.

**You will shine in this role if you are/have**:

- Familiarity with RPA and/or similar automation tools (e.g. Zapier)
- Familiarity with B2B banking features such as API, Virtual Accounts etc.
- Understanding or prior experience with the Securities & Futures Act and its related regulations
- Excellent skills in managing spreadsheets on tools such as Excel/Google Sheets
- Ability to understand Python/SQL and use it in a simple manner in day to day job
- Experience making and managing “difficult trade-offs” in a high-growth environment
- Disciplined in documentation
