Eigen Energy is a systems integrator for solar energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with technical competencies in engineering and construction, energy management, software engineering and cross platform integration.
We are looking for a Purchaser to develop, manage and execute sourcing strategies. The Purchasing Executive responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers.
Ultimately, you’ll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
The role reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Job Scope:
- Source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and overseas vendors
- In-charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders' delivery and shipment schedules
- Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors
- Implement internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements
- Budget controlling of inbound costs (inbound freight, custom duties, other costs), physical distribution costs (warehousing and outbound freight), obsolete slow moving and other logistics costs
- Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project
- Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors
- Account for inbound, outbound of warehousing goods, performing the warehousing audit
**Requirements**:
- Diploma in Supply Chain or relevant field. Fresh grads are welcome to apply
- Responsible and able to multi-task
- Exercise understanding of goods receiving, sales, purchase, quotation and inventory procedures
- Comfortable with software such as Excel, ERP and Business Central
- Verbal and written articulacy
- Strong communication skills
Good to have
- Experience in supply chain/logistics or in a construction company
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork with good analytical and project management skills
- Experience in process improvement
