Job Description Summary

Provides leadership and supervision to assure that all engineering projects are completed to meet customer requirements for a safe and quality workplace, service response and operational continuity. Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements. Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility: Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements.

Job Description

1.1. Assist in capital equipment acquisition, installation and testing of equipment, commissioning of systems, and validation of process equipment.

1.2. Responsible for establishing project plans, document control, change control, risk management, validation, vendor interactions, process development, and project reporting.

1.3. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and R&D teams to implement process improvements.
1.4. Establishes and maintains strong engineering support and services, not limited to maintenance, modifications, design, renovation & facility improvements, to the operations to effectively support Value stream goals and needs.
1.5. Ensures all engineering project related work complies with safety, environmental & regulatory requirements.
1.6. Ensures open and complete communication with internal customers.
1.7. Initiates Engineering related programs or plans to improve on the operational environment so that potential problems could be avoided, and business continuity assured.
1.8. Participate in meetings as required to understand operational requirements, concerns, issues and works with the team or department to effectively resolve.
1.9. Lead the project management definition, planning and execution.
1.10. Participate or drive continuous improvement initiatives/activities.
1.11. Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement, and reduction of resource materials.
1.12. Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
1.13. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
1. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Mechanical Engineering or related qualifications.
2. Minimum 5-10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.
3. Experience in managing non-exempt staff.

Knowledge and Skills
1. Strong leadership, results orientated, project management skills, the ability to interact well with internal customers at all levels and external suppliers, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to learn quickly and adjust personally and to manage change within assigned team to respond to changes in customer requirements.

Accountability
1. Safety, Quality, Service and Time performance on facility and adherence to security procedures, to contribute towards the achievement of Value stream and Plant objectives.
2. Ensure that assigned team members are developed individually as well as collectively.
