**Job Objective**
- Provide Technical support to Ship Staff and assist in safe and cost-efficient operation of assigned vesselsEnsure compliance with companies' strategic goals, compliance and environmental policies

**Job Scope**
- Manage all activities aimed at keeping managed and owned ships safe, environmentally friendly, efficient and fully operational while meeting Customers service requirements
- Maintain ships within statutory body requirements
- Operate vessels within budget constraints and providing an operating budget
- Implementation of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management policies, procedures and instructions
- Assist in monitoring energy efficiency and environmental performance of the vessels
- Assist in ensuring global emission-related regulatory compliance of the vessels
- Engage with vessels and other stakeholders on daily performance reporting to ensure high data quality of the fleet
- Review vessel’s fleet weather against current passage and weather analyst’s guidance notes
- Perform a voyage analysis against the relevant charter party for that voyage
- Energy saving devices / project installations
- Energy saving devices performance monitoring
- Providing reliable and quality management analytical data using vessel performance software (i.e Bluetracker System, Podium)
- Manage the administration and maintenance content of the system. Ensure that the relevant vessel data is inputted timeously and accurate
- Assist in ensuring emission-related statutory and regulatory compliance of the fleet ie EEXI/EU MRV/IMO DCS/UK MRV(2023) / FUEL EU.
- Ensures ship requisitions are handled timely as per company procedures

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or Chief Engineer’s qualification
- 2 years of sailing experience as Senior Officer, or 2 years of shore experience as a superintendent with a ship management/owning company
- Preferably experienced on geared bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of vessels’ technical requirements and voyage regulations
- Good project management & organisational skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Good people management skills and teamwork
- Fluency in English and use of computers
