**Job Title: Director of Human Resource
Manage all human resource related activities including succession planning, talent management, recruitment, learning and development and training, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations initiatives.
**JOB DESCRIPTIONS**
Specifically, a Director of Human Resources will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Establish and implement annual objectives for the Human Resource Department
- Establish, maintain and ensure adherence to all personnel-related policies and procedures
- Ensures that the hotel is adhering to all Company/ Human Resources Policies and Procedure
- Ensure that the Department’s activities are aligned with the Corporate Human Resources Strategy, and that the Hotel actions have been implemented where appropriate
- Ensure that government-stipulated legislation is strictly followed and implemented
- Oversees Team Member welfare programs, ensuring that the benefits supplied are relevant and competitive in the local market place
- Plan and forecast the short and long-term talent requirements for the hotel to support its business plans
- Maintain a best practice recruitment approach, to attract the best applicants
- Maintains efficient staffing levels, helping Division/Department Heads to maximize productivity and minimize unnecessary payroll costs
- Ensure that the Department’s operational budget is strictly adhered to, that all costs are controlled and expenditures are properly approved
- Researches and proposes competitive compensation/benefits/incentive packages
- Supports the resort’s focus on service excellence by training and assisting others to train people to provide exceptional service
- Supports the financial objectives of the hotel through proper and efficient management
- Build a strong career and succession planning system to retain and develop talent
- Implement training and development strategies to continuously improve performance and customer service
- Provide a framework for counseling, coaching, and welfare services
- Oversees the action plans of Team Member Engagement Survey as developed by Department Heads and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented
- Manage and resolve, promptly and completely, all employee relations issues
- Maintain an awareness of competitor human resources activities and best practices
- Prepares the Annual Human Resources Budget
- Work closely with the Executive in supporting and achieving the resort’s goals and objectives
- Ensures that all Team Members are treated fairly and consistently as outlined in their terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and resort policies and procedures
- Oversees the training and development function for Team Members
- Oversee and investigate all Team Member relations and labor-related matters as they relate to Federal, state and local Employment Law
- Collaborate with University Alliances project leader in facilitating the universities’ relationship, follow up and monitor the Management Trainee programs happening in the hotel
- Oversees the hotel’s recruitment and selection process, providing Division and Department Heads with effective and efficient recruitment solution
- Maintain strong, professional relationship with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations
- Ensures that the HR monthly report and other reports are completed on schedule and delivered to management.
- Ensures that the performance assessment during probation and the yearly appraisal are kept up to date.
- Ensures that appropriate disciplinary procedures are implemented so that the hotel does not assume extra risks in the event of a labour dispute.
- Collaborates with all levels as needed and engages in staff investigations as needed.
- Delivers the employee appreciation program
- Assist with corporate program (i.e. Management Trainee Program, joint program between Dusit and Department of Skills Development (Dusit-DSD), etc
- Encourages Human Resources Team Members to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognizing them for their contribution to the success of the operations
**JOB REQUIREMENT**
- Extensive HR experience of at least 15 years, including at least 8 years in higher management.
- Solid understanding of the concepts and practices of all HR roles, preferably in the hotel industry. Capability and expertise in managing a large workforce.
- Have strong written and spoken English communication abilities
- Be computer savvy
- Have a professional demeanor with great communication and interpersonal skills
