[What the role is]
SENIOR ASSISTANT ENGINEER, INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS OPERATIONS
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of a team spearheading the operations of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) to improve the safety and efficiency of the road network and to better meet the needs of road users. Your key challenges are to plan, design and test the operation of traffic signal controller & system parameters. This includes preparation of controllers’ operations sheets for new/modified junctions and conduct factory test for the controllers’ operation design. You also need to update the data and graphics for the operation design to the traffic light control system database. In addition, you will work with respective traffic engineers to address public queries and suggestions about traffic light operations while meeting LTA and Public Service standards in a fast and dynamic environment.
[What we are looking for]
- Diploma in Engineering background preferred.
- Able to perform shift duties outside normal office hours, such as night times and weekends.
- Resourceful, analytical and able to thrive in a demanding work environment.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good writing, communication, and presentation skills with strong command in English.
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task and keen to learn.
- Have strong sense of responsibility.
