[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Architecture in the School of Design & Environment.
**[What You Will Be Working On]**:
Academic duties
- Develop and refresh of assigned teaching modules
- Set and process assessment for assigned modules
- Teaching modules in a classroom setting and in an online setting
- Lead in the integration across modules to achieve the course objectives
- Initiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery
Non Academic duties
- Administers, reviews and develops sub-systems to support operations
- Solves operational problems to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Supervises junior team members to ensure smooth operations
**[What we are looking for]**:
Applicants must have at least 3 years of local work experience in the Built Environment industry and be well versed in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, 3-D modelling, SketchUp, Rhino and MS Office software. The applicant should possess an accredited graduate degree in Architecture (M. Arch or equivalent) and be conversant with the local legislations and regulations governing architectural design and building construction.
Applicants must also have strong written, oral and visual communication skills. He/she must have an inherent passion to teach, mentor and coach students along their education journey.

Besides teaching full time diploma students, the lecturer will also be required to teach modules offered in part-time diploma/short courses to learners who are working adults. These lessons are usually conducted in the evenings from 6pm - 10pm.
