**Position: Chemical Technician**:
**Role Overview**:
The Chemical Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of process units and equipment. This includes monitoring process parameters, maintaining operational standards, and performing routine tasks in line with established procedures. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving equipment issues to ensure continuous plant performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and minor repair work.
- Perform operational checks, and manage start-up and shutdown activities for process equipment such as pumps and compressors.
- Replace and clean filters as part of regular equipment maintenance.
- Isolate piping systems during plant start-up, shutdowns, grade changes, or troubleshooting.
- Adjust process parameters under the supervision of Supervisors to optimize performance.
- Support the commissioning and decommissioning of process equipment.
- Execute emergency shutdown procedures when required.
- Handle, blend, and manage non-conforming or off-spec products according to proper procedures.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance activities, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Mix and dilute chemicals as required for production and process operations.
- Carry out inter-tank transfers of chemicals and products in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Participate in emergency response activities and drills to ensure preparedness and compliance with safety protocols.

**Requirements**:

- NITEC or Diploma in a Chemical-related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a chemical or process plant environment.
- Willingness and ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
