**About the Team & Business Line**:
The position for _senior business analyst_ will be a key contributor and a direct report to the FP&A Senior Manager. You will provide actionable, analytical support and business insight to senior management by helping them interpret the financial impacts and highlight the risks and benefits of potential financial decisions/arrangements. You must be able to communicate clearly and translate financial data into value-added and customer-focused advice and information fundamental to strategy development and long-term planning.

**Your** **Role**:

- Perform monthly and quarterly detailed analysis of stakeholder financial results
- Preparation of financial reports for the Customer/Service type Business head and their leadership team
- Participate in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting efforts for assigned stakeholders
- Provide thorough analysis and investigation into the variances versus budgets/forecast/actuals to identify relevant risks and opportunities to senior management
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of new financial reporting and modelling tools and software
- Provide guidance and solution ideas to the FP&A team as it grows, ensuring that they offer excellent support to all stakeholders
- Look for opportunities to evolve practices and integrate financial services with other business areas of expertise where appropriate, to ensure effective delivery of strategies, policies, programs and services.
- Build long-term relationships with all customer/departmental areas
- Overall management of assigned stakeholder updates, through scheduling meetings, assistance with materials preparation and action follow up
- Ad hoc duties as assigned

**About You**:

- BA in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Qualified Accountant or CFA a bonus
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years relevant work experience
- FP&A experience preferred
- Trust, Banking & Funds industry experience an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
- Knowledge of XL cubed a bonus
- Business and Commercial acumen
