**What the role is**
- You will be an integral part of a dynamic team handling Corporate Finance.
**What you will be working on**
- Your primary role is to assist in the management of the Corporation’s investments comprising bonds and externally managed investment portfolios. You will be expected to: - Manage cash liquidity to meet short
- and long-term funding needs;
- Manage the bond portfolio, recommend and execute trades, monitor and report performance;
- Procure the services of investment advisors, fund managers and related service providers for the externally managed investment portfolios;
- Assist in the formulation and review of investment mandate and strategic asset allocation;
- Conduct due diligence and on boarding of fund managers;
- Liaise with investment consultants, fund managers and custodian;
- Monitor, review and report on the performance of funds under management to ensure that the fund managers comply with their contractual, compliance, fiduciary and investment responsibilities;
- Scan and analyse market trends and developments, research and propose investment ideas to enhance the risk adjusted return of the funds;
- Staff meetings with Management and Investment Committee;
- Deal with operational matters such as certification and payment of fees; and - Carry out corporate projects and initiatives as assigned.
**What we are looking for**
- Background in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, investment management or equivalent;
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to write well and present with confidence to senior level executives;
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous and proactive; and - A team player, ability to work independently and within a team environment to meet deadlines. - Prior experience in investment management (i.e. investment analysis, manager selection) would be an advantage.
