Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversees Project M&E matters and ensure that works are progressing in accordance with contract specifications, drawings and regulations, to ensure timely delivery of project.
- Plan, organize and execute M&E project management activities to meet quality, timeliness and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Assist Contract Department in project tendering to provide M&E part of technical support. Review and ensure that all provision requirements as specified in the tender documents are fully complied with before actual submission.
- Assist QS on the verification of sub-contractor claims and material orders. Ensure Subcon material grading is in line with Company’s BBGS requirement.
- Coordinate with Project Manager on all M&E matters including development of M&E program and master schedule.
- Ensure M&E shop drawings are completed and submissions to the authorities are carried out in a timely manner.
- Ensure project performance through close supervision, site checks, close monitoring of site progress and swift resolution of any quality and work schedule issues.
- Ensure that safety procedures are incorporated in all on site M&E activities.
- Lead M&E monthly departmental meeting and form the monthly report to cover major updates such as technique issues for all the project and resolving status, shop drawing updating status, material and equipment on site schedules and M&E subcontractor evaluations.
- Attend project meetings, daily meetings and project closure meetings with clients, consultants and other parties.
- Attend project inspection. Schedule internal M&E pre-inspection to discover and solve problems before official RI inspection. Arrange for follow up inspections after end of project.
Coordinate with PUB, City Gas & SPPG for water, gas and electricity turn on. Oversees the water and electricity activation during project and post-project.
- Lead M&E VE review and proposal. Assist and support Technical Department solve M&E technical problems.
- Monitor and guide M&E Engineer/Coordinator’s daily progress and quality of works
**Job Specifications**
- At least Diploma / Degree, preferably in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Building Construction.
- Experience in managing Singapore HDB project is required.
- Pro-active, resourceful team player with good analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and in teams with minimum supervision
