Job description

The IB PYP curriculum coordinator at Olympiad International School works with the head of school in managing, planning and leading the curriculum development within the school community. The coordinator is expected to support and monitor teachers to ensure the implementation of the International Baccalaureate primary years programme curriculum framework

The PYP Curriculum coordinator must be a person who reflects in action the traits of the IB learner profile. In addition, the coordinator must have excellent working knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years programme and will also be assigned as a homeroom teacher for one class.

Curriculum Review and Development
- Ensures that the curriculum review and development supports the philosophy and framework in accordance to the IB PYP.
- Ensures that the curriculum review process is collaborative and consultative
- Ensures that the review process adhere to the IB’s standards and practices for curriculum development and organizational strategy.
- Ensures the development and review of the scope and sequences.

Documentation
- Ensures the copies of international Baccalaureate organization publications pertaining to the primary years programme are made available to all staff.
- Publishes the school’s programme of Inquiry.
- Establishes and maintain a record of completed planners.
- Participates in the development of the school strategic plan.
- Collates all necessary information of teaching, learning and assessments.

Professional Development
- Encourage teachers collaboration and development of their professional skills.
- Inform and make recommendations regarding professional development opportunities (online, virtual and face to face) for all staff.
- Keep a record of workshop attendance and school visits to ensure equality of opportunities and identify areas to address.

Resource management
- Ensures sufficient resources are in place for effective delivery and implementation of the programme.
- Establishes an inventory to facilitate effective implantation.

Communication
- Collaborates with parents, education specialists and other organizations.
- Sets up systems for effective communication and collaboration among staff involved in implementation of the programme.
- Ensures meetings with parents to explain on the IB PYP
- Circulates all relevant information from the International Baccalaureate Organization.
- Ensures that all school members are familiar with the requirements of the IBO with regards to the implementation and authorisation of the IB PYP.
- Provides a liaison between the school and the IBO

Job Requirements
- Gradutate or Post Graduate degree holders with 5 years of teaching experience in local MOE schools or International School.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $3,600.00 - $4,500.00 per month
