Develop and execute the company’s sourcing strategy for specific categories in coordination with the Sourcing Director.
- Drive sourcing efforts to support strategic goals, global balance, and financial targets for Meijer.
- Collaborate with suppliers to deliver high-quality, trendy products at great value for customers.
- Build a reliable supplier network and explore alternative solutions to meet business goals.
- Recommend and onboard new suppliers/factories, focusing on continuous process improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Meijer Merchants and Product Development, to bring new products to market.
- Focus on reducing lead times and speeding up the supply chain to ensure Meijer is ahead of the competition.
- Use negotiation skills and cost expertise to maintain quality and cost efficiency, maximizing profitability.
- Manage multiple product categories efficiently.
- Handle additional tasks or projects as needed.

**Job Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a large US Sourcing/Buying office preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant merchandising experience, ideally in a buying office.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Passionate about fashion and customer satisfaction.
- Effective negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proactive and dynamic with strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
