Jewelry Setter

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Jewelry Setter to join our team. As a Jewelry Setter, you will play a crucial role in the creation of exquisite jewelry pieces by securely and precisely setting gemstones into various settings. Your expertise in gemstone setting techniques and your keen eye for quality and craftsmanship will contribute to the production of stunning and high-quality jewelry items.

**Responsibilities**:

- Gemstone Setting: Perform precise and secure gemstone settings in various types of jewelry, including rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, according to design specifications and customer requirements.
- Stone Preparation: Inspect and prepare gemstones prior to setting, ensuring they meet quality standards and are suitable for the intended jewelry piece.
- Mounting and Assembly: Collaborate with the jewelry design team to mount gemstones onto jewelry settings, carefully aligning and securing them using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of finished jewelry pieces to ensure gemstone settings are secure, aligned, and aesthetically pleasing, while adhering to company quality standards.
- Repair and Maintenance: Identify and address any issues or defects in gemstone settings, including repairs, tightening, and maintenance, to restore jewelry pieces to their original condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other artisans, such as jewelers, designers, and polishers, to ensure efficient workflow, precise craftsmanship, and timely completion of jewelry pieces.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of gemstone inventory, including cataloging, organizing, and reporting on stone availability, ensuring an adequate supply for ongoing projects.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and care for jewelry setting tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, functional, and in good working condition.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while handling gemstones, chemicals, and tools, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Experience: Proven experience as a Jewelry Setter or similar role within the jewelry industry, demonstrating expertise in various gemstone setting techniques.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of different types of gemstone settings, including prong, bezel, pave, channel, and micro-pave settings.
- Fine Motor Skills: Exceptional hand-eye coordination and dexterity, with the ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
- Jewelry Tools: Proficiency in using jewelry setting tools, such as pliers, tweezers, burnishers, setting burs, and microscope, to achieve accurate and secure gemstone settings.
- Creativity: Aesthetic sense and creativity in arranging and setting gemstones to enhance the overall design and appearance of the jewelry piece.
- Quality Consciousness: Strong commitment to producing high-quality work and ensuring impeccable craftsmanship in every jewelry piece.
