**Job Title**:Senior Software Engineer - SAP Functional

**Location**:Bangalore (Hybrid)

The Core Product Services Team is responsible for the Architecture Design & Build governance of all Core Product solutions in CommBank (SAP, PEGA, Teradata & Quality Stage).

**Impact & Contribution**

As a SAP Banking Technical Consultant, you will be a SME responsible for guiding the designs within your SAP domain to align to the SAP Application Architecture. This position sits with the Customer and Banking Core team.

Specifically, as a Technical Consultant, you are responsible for fit/gap analysis and estimation process within the Business Case Phase. During the delivery phase you are responsible for designing Build Inventory Items assessed as being of high complexity and also to govern designs of other medium/low complexity items within your domain to drive quality outcomes across the Core asset solutions within CommBank.

You would also be expected to build intimate relationships with the business to ensure we are delivering what the business wants and needs.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA’s Values and People Capabilities.
- Communicate with product and business teams to gather and analyse business requirements, translate it into technical design and prepare technical specification documents.
- Engage with project teams to understand upcoming requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Debug complex problems and provide excellent customer service by delivering superior code quality to specifications.
- Adherence to standardised development (Coding, testing, documentation).
- Participate in Agile events, internal team and status meetings, in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, breakdown and estimates of work.
- Work on complex and distributed SAP landscapes.
- Provide support and participate in testing activities ensuring adequate automation coverage.
- Being bound to internal SAP release guidelines.
- Mentors and up-skills other engineering teams across different crews.
- Manage conflicts, issues and risks to optimize the solution and ensure alignment to scope.

**Essential Skills**
- 6 to 9 Years SAP Banking Functional & Design Experience in a specialised area.
- SME level expertise in Loans Management & Loan Life cycle
- Expertise in the following areas of SAP Banking:

- Deposits Management, Pricing & Conditions, Cash Flow, Loans Management
- Master Contracts Management, Item Management
- End of Day Processes / Settlement / Statements / Accruals
- Payments and Payment advice
- Business Partner (Customer), Product Configuration and Token Management
- Bank Statement and correspondence
- Ability to work in a highly integrated and heterogeneous environment.
- High level of communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to solicit opinions, accept feedback
- Ability to deliver convincing presentations that provide significant insight and generate consensus and buy-in
- Experience in operating effectively as part of cross-functional teams
- Supporting Agile Delivery Methods

**Education Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
