Singapore MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. Full time

As the General Manager of Corporate Strategy Department, he/she is responsible for overall management and performance of Corporate Strategy Department and other designated parties including, but not limited to, financial activities, developing and implementing overall corporate business plans and strategies for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group and its entities in the Asia Pacific region. This is not limited to financial activities but also to all corporate activities if so designated.

The incumbent is also co-responsible for management and performance of Finance & Accounting Department with General Manager, handling regional financial performance evaluation, maximizing efficiency of regional financial assets, and deploying policies from MHI Global HQ in Japan and Chief Regional Officer (CRO) in Asia Pacific region.

**Job responsibility
Management
- Manage and lead Corporate Strategy Department and Finance & Accounting Department

Corporate Strategy
- Develop and implement short, medium and long-range regional strategies and business plans for achievement of overall business objectives in the region, together with Business teams and Japan Headquarters closely.
- Monitor and summarize Company’s business performances, and report to Managements and Headquarters periodically.
- Develop and enhance the reporting packages to utilize ICT tools and solutions.
- Review the business structure and project scheme from financial and tax point of view, and advise the best contractual scheme.
- Coordinate internal teams for the tasks, which relates to multiple functions on behalf of Managements.
- Any other tasks assigned by Managements

Group Companies Management
- Plan, develop and manage group companies’ capital structure, business plan, financial results and audits/investigations
- Coordinate group companies’ reorganization activities
- Establish Group Companies/Branches accounting reporting scheme and business operations protocol
- Any other tasks assigned by Managements

Finance & Accounting
- Co-lead to manage all entries in systems, general ledgers and financial statements for single and consolidation basis.
- Lead to manage business planning and budgeting
- Reporting to managements and MHI
- Lead to respond to audits and various investigations
- System integration and development support in the region
- Any other tasks assigned by Managements

**Job requirement
- Bachelor degrees related to business, such as management, economics, finance and accounting
- Global financial and accounting knowledge including treasury, deliveries, legal financial accounting, tax accounting and cost accounting
- Have at least 15 years’ experience working in accounting or finance
- Especially experience in accounting for large plant and EPC projects where the percentage of completion method is applied.
- Japanese Language Proficiency of JLPT N1 or equivalent is required as there will be frequent correspondences with counterparts in Japan.
- Certification in accounting (preferred)
