As you may have gathered, at LPA we do more than financial planning. Our name reveals that we recognise that financial planning fits into the larger agenda of life planning. Not everyone understands this, but when they do, bridging financial planning to life planning requires an integrated mind and heart-set.
In our view, the best financial planners are a rare breed of people who combine the sharpest minds in finance - often found in financial institutions - with the heart of a shepherd - often found in a non-profit or church. It’s a contrasting and, oft thought, contradicting combination. But it is what’s desperately needed today.
We are prepared to take on suitably mature and qualified individuals who have embraced the challenge of transitioning into a fee-based financial planning career. We will work with you as you transition from a personal focus on success to significance.

Requirements**:
- You must possess the mettle for this transitional journey. Change is challenging because old habits die hard.
- You should possess a penchant for finance. This may be latent or acquired, but it needs to be innate to you today.
- You must care for people and their nuances that can have an overwhelming influence on financial decision making.
- You will be required to apprentice as a para-planner in the first 12-24 months, working in teams with more experienced advisers.
- You will be required to be suitably certified by the MAS. This will involve passing key examinations which need to be secured within the first six months of your apprenticeship.
