**Position Title**: Senior Executive, Actuarial

**Job Purpose**: The role is responsible for valuation functions for the Cigna Singapore entity, primarily IFRS 17 implementation and transition to business-as-usual process. Besides, he/she is responsible to support on other valuation tasks such as regular local statutory reporting, US GAAP reporting, annual reserve and expense study, ALCO, ORSA etc. This role will report to the Singapore Certifying Actuary.

**Reports to**: Reporting to Certifying Actuary

**Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results**:
Primarily in charge of SG IFRS 17 implementations and transition to business-as-usual process:
Data preparation for upload to data lake/sub-ledger, perform checking etc.

Communicate daily with accounting/IT/ Regional side to complete the tasks in fast turn-around time on IFRS17 implementation and set up BAU process

Preferably with IFRS17 hands on working experience/understanding for the Group and individual Health business on PAA model, datalake and sub-ledger, and underlying accounting logic, target operating model and the interpretation of the financial statement etc. so that be able to:
Complete financial statement analysis by comparing to USGAAP and the industry

Define process control change required to complete the IFRS17 implementation

Meet all compliance and audit requirements

**To support on other APAC valuation tasks such as**:
Assist on regular local statutory reporting, US GAAP reporting, annual reserve and expense study, ALCO, ORSA etc.

Setting reserves for financial close, conduct claims and loss ratio detailed movement analysis and understanding of underlying key drivers.

Other ad hoc actuarial reserving projects such as automate and streamline existing reserving processes for IFRS17 & APAC; on and off provide actuarial support, drive decision making and coordinate with accounting and IT counterparts etc.

Dynamic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to productively interact with different colleagues remotely (e.g. finance, actuarial, IT etc.), in order to complete IFRS17 project / other valuations work timely and accurately.

**Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field of study

Associate in the Society of Actuaries, Institute of Actuaries, or comparable actuarial designation preferred

Strong knowledge and experience of valuation and reporting process. Understanding of IFRS17 PAA model on health business, USGAAP, MAS local reporting is preferred.

Understanding in health insurance, health claim process and healthcare systems is a plus.

3-5 years of actuarial experience

Excellent communication skills

Strong proficiency in Programming (macro), Microsoft (Excel, Access, Powerpoint etc.), Alterlyx, AWS, ResQ, SQL and Tableau preferred

**Personal Competencies Required**:
With knowledge of the Actuarial valuation function and operating models

Strong analytical and numerical skills, applied to insurance and finance data domains

Able to pick up the IFRS17 process very quickly and with fast turn-around time in order to spot out and escalate critical issues to be discussed throughout the whole process.
