**About the role**:
- Oversee and manage Sales Representatives within the assigned territory, including forecasting, business planning, and follow-up on active opportunities.
- Visit key customers and prospects to foster personal relationships with decision-makers, identify new opportunities, and drive inquiries and orders. Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer processes, organizations, and business needs to provide a competitive advantage in sales.
- Track and manage sales activities, including quotations, profitability, pricing trends, and quotation success ratios for the designated territories. Ensure effective use and maintenance of the Sales Team's quotation tracking systems.
- Develop and deliver technical sales presentations to customer decision-makers, promoting the company's product offerings and confirming product compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
- Pursue and evaluate inquiries from clients regarding aftermarket parts and services, including Valves, Desuperheaters, steam conditioning products, and field services, to support Aftermarket Operations.
- Submit weekly reports detailing key market insights, customer feedback, competitor activities, and any relevant industry information that may impact the business directly or indirectly.
- Investigate and coordinate the resolution of customer issues related to products, delivery, or services, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers through site visits as needed to conduct product design reviews or resolve commercial issues, facilitating customer commitment to orders.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the technical advantages of Cope Vulcan Products, including product designs and services.
- Create sales plans and actions to meet market booking targets and business objectives.
- Prepare annual product forecasts for the market, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Train and collaborate with sales channels through joint calls and field activities.
- Develop and deliver training programs for both internal and external sales teams in coordination with other team members.
- Maintain comprehensive client profiles for key stakeholders, including end users, EPCs, and OEMs.
- Provide market intelligence and pricing recommendations to guide business decisions.
- Take ownership of major projects within the territory, leading the strategy to secure business opportunities.
- Provide regular competitive updates and insights specific to the region.
- Set goals for distributors and representatives, conducting semi-annual performance reviews.
- Perform additional tasks as needed, as directed by the supervisor.
- Seek technical and commercial support from manufacturing locations to address customer needs when necessary.
- Ensure the timely preparation and submission of handover documents for orders to manufacturing locations.
- Work closely with contact management throughout the execution of contracts.
- Prepare Pre-Qualification documents and business reports as required by management.
**About you**:
- Degree in Engineering or similar field and over 10 years of related experience in supporting sales activities/sales in Power, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater and General Industries in the region & Valve sales experience (control valve experience preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle various situations involving limited standardization. Capable of interpreting a range of instructions, including written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat for job-related tasks.
- Ability to effectively use sizing programs for valve and system selection.
- Experience in basic instrumentation and electrical design, particularly regarding valve control and system integration.
- Familiarity with fluid handling equipment sizing and design.
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a matrixed, collaborative team environment.
- Results-oriented with a strong customer focus and a drive for delivering successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer networks and industry-specific requirements.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned by the Sales Director.
