**Overview**
The MCA team in CPH is involved in supporting psychologists conducting Mental Capacity Assessments for clients within specific agencies. Your main duty is to support the clinical operations, and administrative functions of the MCA Team in CPH. Tasks include assistance with assessments, participating in research activities in projects, supporting practice-oriented learning events, and administrative support work within the MCA Team of CPH, so as to ensure smooth operations on a day-to-day basis. This may include assisting the team in areas of clinical practice, communications, project management, logístical and research support.
**Responsibilities**
1. Support assessments of mental capacity
- Administer supporting intake
- When necessary, conduct intake interviews to facilitate appropriate referrals to the team. Client population include persons with special needs, seniors, and their family members
- Supporting assessments
- Work with psychologist to conduct mental capacity assessments and prepare reports for eligible clients. This may also include the administration and scoring of structured assessments tests
- Preparation for assessments
- Adapt test materials to accommodate client’s needs
2. Enhance clinical standards
- Support the integration of clinical practice with best practices and literature, in the process of creating learning materials for professional development events to enhance clinical practice of psychology professionals supported by the CPH MCA team in the community
- Support the ongoing development, implementation and publication of a competency framework to establish clinical standards of certified mental capacity assessors. This will be done in close collaboration with the CPH MCA team and community partners
- Update and manage the ongoing development work of assessment resources in the CPH resource hub for certified mental capacity assessors. This will be done in close collaboration with the CPH MCA team and community partners
3. Support team operations and performance
- Assist in generating reports for KPI data. This includes maintaining accurate and relevant statistical data for reporting
- Perform independent topic research. This includes searching, reading and summarizing journal papers, books, or online resources
- Provide logístical support for group sessions (meetings, briefings, trainings, case sharing, topic discussions, etc.)
- Attend CPH meetings and events when necessary
- Carry out any other tasks as required and assigned by Reporting Officer or MCA Team members
- Support the facilitation and coordination of professional development events to enhance clinical practice of psychology professionals supported by the CPH MCA team in the community
4. Self-development
- Attend CPH/SSA endorsed training/workshops/seminars so as to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Receive formal supervision from CPH’s approved supervisors as part of professional development
5. Others
- Attend CPH meetings and events when necessary
- Prepare and submit reports e.g., monthly KPI tracking as required
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer/Management
**Requirements**:
1. Educational qualifications
- Honours degree in Psychology
- Experience in research and statistical analysis
2. Knowledge and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage statistical analyses and research projects is an advantage
3. Other qualities
- Appropriate discretion towards sensitive and/or confidential client information
- Meticulous, focused and detail-oriented
- Analytical, creative and resourceful
- Proactive, has good initiative and able to work independently
- A curious mind to learn and improve things, and an interest to understand and work with people from different backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal and social skills; good teamwork
