**Roles & Responsibilities**

The Threat Intelligence Specialist assists with strategic, tactical, and operational analysis of cyber, fraud, and security threats faced by BMO Financial Group globally. This position responsible for conducting advanced and in-depth threat intelligence research, analysis, and advanced threat mitigation activities during steady state operations. They will transform information from Threat Analysts into actionable Intelligence by integrating related IOCs into use case development, SIEM operations, and IR response strategies.

Additionally, the Threat Intelligence Specialists provide:

- Subject matter expertise on current threats and potential impact
- Threat Awareness and Situational Reports to Ops Team from both external and internal intelligence sources
- Improvements for Detection and Monitoring Capabilities relative to current threats
- Subject matter expertise and technical leadership for Use Case Development Working Groups

**Job Requirements**
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to create and deliver succinct narrative reports and presentations, incorporating where appropriate visual tools to deliver analytical assessments.
- Organizational and self-directing skills - ability to initiate, coordinate and prioritize responsibilities and follow through on tasks to completion.
- Ability to work independently on a variety of assignments with mínimal supervision.
- At least 5 years of previous experience working in cyber threat and/or intelligence.
- Must be able to define events vs. alerts vs. incidents for the organization, and create incident classification, severity, and priority tables in line with all threats, risks and vulnerabilities.
- Must be able to identify and document incident trends and compromise patterns.
