**JOB SCOPE**

ArtScience Museum is recruiting for a Producer, Public Programmes within the Programmes team. This post is part of a growing Programmes team and will take an active role in developing and implementing ArtScience Museum’s public programmes, including collaborative showcases and performances, conferences and talks, film screenings and other public events organised throughout the year.

ArtScience Museum is the cultural institution in Singapore that explores the intersection between art, science, technology and culture. Since opening in February 2011, we have staged large-scale exhibitions by some of the world’s major artists, including Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Vincent Van Gogh, and M.C. Escher, as well as showing work by contemporary artists including Theo Jansen, Lynette Wallworth, Ryoji Ikeda, Yang Yongliang, Semiconductor, Olafur Eliasson, Anish Kapoor, Mariko Mori and many more. The museum has also presented significant exhibitions that explore aspects of science, including big data, particle physics, natural history, marine biology, cosmology and space exploration.

The Programmes Department is responsible for developing and implementing a full programme of engagement, education, events, activities and interactive opportunities for a wide range of audiences.

These include:

- ArtScience Cinema, the museum’s dedicated film programming which is a dedicated platform for filmmakers and artists exploring the intersection between art and science using moving image, video and film.
- VR Gallery, that explores the technology and the evolving creative practices around that medium.
- Talks-based events such as conversations and conferences, bringing together industry leaders for insightful presentations and sharings.
- ArtScience Encounters that provides visitors with unique experiences through compelling artworks and sensorial experiences in curious spaces outside of the galleries within the museum.
- Special events such as partnership festivals, topical or thematic events or pop-up exhibitions, or seasonal programmes delivered in collaboration with industry partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Senior Manager, Programmes and Director, Programmes, Exhibitions and Museum Services (PEMS) to research and develop relevant and meaningful onsite public programmes that are designed to engage with, or extend, the museum’s mandate.
- Be responsible for the development, planning, organisation, administration and execution of the museum’s public programmes, including collaborative showcases and performances, conferences and talks, film screenings and other public events organised throughout the year.
- Line manage and guide junior team members in the delivery and execution of public programmes.
- Manage, track and communicate project timelines, budgets, logistics plans, technical production needs and event schedules, ensuring every aspect of the Museum’s commitment to the programme stays on schedule.
- Work collaboratively across the PEMS team engaging with other curatorial and production colleagues and participating cross-PEMS initiatives where appropriate
- Act as the liaison between artists, collaborators, third-party vendors and the museum.
- Lead and manage site walk-throughs, set-up, deployment, run and load-out, ensuring safe working conditions in compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
- Manage all frontline and backend operations, working closely with internal teams (Visitor Services, MICE, Museum Services, Security, Facilities, Visual Media) to ensure event success and adherence to protocols.
- Maintain internal event calendars and resolve scheduling conflicts should they arise.
- Work on approved write-ups and images and liaise with marketing, social media and other promotional platforms for publicity purposes.
- Coordinate evaluation of programmes, including collating feedback for data analysis and reporting.
- Conduct post-event evaluation to identify and implement areas of improvements as needed.
- Assist with record keeping and organise documentation of working documents, content files, audio-visual materials, etc.
- To deputise for Senior Manager, Programmes, as required. Other duties and projects as assigned.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Management or related field OR minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role within museums or arts and cultural institutions with working knowledge of event management and technical production.
- Work on evenings, weekends and public holidays when required, and willingness to adjust hours to accommodate programming needs.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Highly motivated, independent and organised, with a track record of delivering in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
