**Head of Decarbonization/Decarbonization Manager (Shipping), Leading Maritime Company**

Formative Search is privileged to be partnering with one of the world’s largest maritime service provider companies looking to decarbonization their shipping operations and supply chain and hence is seeking for a Head of Decarbonization/Decarbonisation Manager in Shipping.

Reporting to the General Manager (Commercial & Shipping), your main role would primarily be the development of decarbonization roadmaps for shipping operations and supply chain. As you would be spearheading this department in Decarbonization & Sustainability Solutions, you would be at the forefront of shaping meaningful, exciting and life changing net-zero decarbonization roadmaps and emissions plans for the shipping company and developing systems to calculate carbon footprints of for the company and her clients and using these metrics to measure progress of carbon reduction plans. You would also be engaged in the marketplace to source for relevant/suitable carbon offsets and green financing to complement the firm’s decarbonization journey.

In addition, you will be supporting the firm and the clients in net zero and decarbonisation, ESG and TCFD and identify potential new business opportunities in target market segments/opportunity management, proposal, and presentation of best practices.

**Requirements**:
You have a University degree; preferably a masters in sustainability, environmental engineering or climate science related field, or equivalent experience in Shipping. Having at least 5 year’s working experience in carbon consulting, and GHG Protocol plus corporate climate disclosure and reporting (ESG, CDP etc.) and good understanding of carbon removal technologies and carbon-offsetting markets ideally in the Shipping industry or Commodities market/supply-chain market equivalent.
