Singapore CHILDREN'S MUSEUM SINGAPORE Full time

As a researcher, you will collect and organise relevant stories and information for curators to develop children-friendly exhibitions. The range of themes are vast and varied, as the children’s museum aims to engage children on Singapore and the world. The themes could be history, heritage, culture, science, current affairs and more, depending on the project’s needs.

You will be required to conduct primary and secondary research - sources include and are not limited to community interviews, as well as local and overseas archives and libraries. You may also get to assist in curatorial tasks when the opportunity arises.

If you love research, are curious about museums and want to make a difference to children, this role is for you.

**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the curators to formulate research strategies and fulfil project research needs
- Source for research materials from reliable sources with citations
- Conduct interviews, surveys or focus groups with children and stakeholders
- Document, organise, analyse and present information in a meaningful way for exhibition development
- Assist in curatorial tasks such as exhibition management and collection management when necessary

**Requirements**:

- At least THREE years of experience in conducting research, with experience in research for academic or curatorial projects being advantageous.
- Excellent writing abilities with proficiency in English. Written and conversational proficiency in other languages is welcomed.
- Excellent organisational skills, with a careful eye for detail
- Good interview and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Resourceful and able to meet deliverables in a timely manner
