**Assistant Nurse Manager / Nurse Manager**:

**Job Description & Requirements**:
You will assist in the planning and implementation of strategic initiatives to improve clinical governance and quality, patient care and safety for the company. You will support the within Clinical Governance, including Patient Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, and Clinical Quality Management. You are expected to contribute to a clinical quality and safety culture within the organisation through communication, education and training activities. You will be assisting Compliance Officer to manage the Incident Reporting System by following up on incidents in their investigations and corrective actions by relevant parties. You will also participate in Quality Improvement (QI) activities to improve the processes of departments and/or the company.
You shall be responsible to plan and organize administrative and management aspects of nursing quality and training in Bethesda Medical. You are to adopt MOH, SNB, international initiatives to benchmark the company level of care, quality standards, and oversees nursing audits and accreditations.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
Leadership & Management
- To lead nursing division in adhering to the vision, mission and core values of the company
- To assist Medical Director, Director of Nursing & Operation to oversee policies pertaining to Nursing standards, training and development.
- To lead IPC and conduct IPC training and audits.
- To assist review the cases under the purview of Severe Reportable Events (SRE), nursing complaints and to determine the root causes of an incident, identify system failure and institute appropriate risk recommendations to prevent similar incidents.
- To initiate strategies and support change in nursing practice to improve quality of care.
- To guide all nursing related competencies, policies and procedures which include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Ensure compliance to statutory requirements; licensing and accreditation agencies standards.
- To plan for regular update meetings with Medical Director and Director of Nursing & Operation.
- To collaborate with various stake holders; physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth integration of services and achieve the optimal care for the patients.
- To act as a resource person on nursing quality matters.
- Participate in new initiatives, business initiatives, projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- To undertake any other tasks assigned by Compliance Officer.
Clinical Governance
- To assume leadership in ensuring staff compliance and maintenance to nursing standards.
- To facilitate cross-functional communication and meetings with departments on issues relating to clinical safety, quality, standards and training.
- To participate and assist in the planning and coordination of projects and clinical initiatives for nursing division.
Manpower Management
- To facilitate staff development initiatives to promote professional growth.
- To conduct performance appraisals of nurses in his/her department.
- To be responsible for leadership development and succession planning of staff through talent management.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma / Degree in Nursing or equivalent, preferably in Nursing Management Studies.
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board.
- At least 8-10 years of clinical experience, preferably with management/leadership experience.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good clinical reasoning skills, critical and analytical thinking abilities in performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Understand system thinking and root cause analysis
- Possess advanced computer competencies - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
5.5 days work week
