**Role:
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for new supplier and part qualification and driving the supplier to achieve zero defect strategy. He/She is also the interface between the internal factories globally in terms of material quality. The incumbent is required to work closely with R&D, commodity management, production and process team globally.

**Responsibilities**:

- Onboard new suppliers following a defined Advanced Product and Quality Planning process (APQP) & Supplier Part Qualification Process (based on PPAP).
- Ensure top suppliers are regularly audited (Schedule) & most importantly, corrective actions are followed through/closed.
- Develop & implement quality prevention processes internally/externally (at suppliers).
- Manage review and approve First article inspection submitted by suppliers for new products and changing requirements on approved parts
- Develop & implement quality prevention processes internally/externally (at suppliers).
- Maintain & analyse supplier service levels & performance data & communicate performance measures internally and to suppliers.
- Identify Global Suppliers to work with and drive the supplier development & performance processes and continuous improvement of any quality topics.
- Liaise closely with SCM team to ensure improvement priorities are managed accordingly.
- Create (SAP) & maintain reporting of non-conformance, using databases, Excel spreadsheets and graphical recording of data.
- Structure and chair monthly supplier performance / scorecard meetings.
- Job required hands on inspection capability

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering
- Background in quality assurance or supplier quality (minimum 5years) in a capital equipment or manufacturing environment.
- Must have detailed understanding of an ERP system, ideally SAP.
- Must be able to read drawings and specification
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of quality requirements corrective & preventative action.
- Ability to successfully meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines and display self-discipline needed to achieve these project schedules.
- Possess leadership skill; Able to lead supplier for continuous improvement
- IPC Certified specialist, Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Methodology, Statistical analysis, Understanding of 3D measurement equipment principles,
- Knowledge of manufacturing process such as Motor, Cables, Casting, machining, sheet metal and module assembly
- Knowledge in Automation and Machine/Mechanical Design
- Preferably knowledge with Industry 4.0 practices and implementations
- Participate in small to moderate tasks/projects with cross-discipline interactions
