Cook / Cleaner for preschools

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cooking**:

- Prepare and cook balanced and nutritious meals and snacks for children according to dietary guidelines and nutritional standards.
- Plan and implement weekly menus, taking into account any dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation of kitchen equipment and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies, and assist with ordering as needed.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and kitchen utensils.

**Cleaning**:

- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the preschool, including classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow health and safety regulations and protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for children and staff.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role, preferably in a childcare or school setting.
- Previous experience in cleaning and maintaining a commercial or residential space.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively with young children and understand their specific needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Certification in food handling or first aid is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry up to [weight] lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to work in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures and potential allergens.
