Our client is a global manufacturing company, a market leader in the maritime sector manufacturing marine capital equipment. To grow the organization and strengthen its engineering team in the Southeast Asia region our client wants to recruit a:
**Service Engineer**

(Based in Singapore)

**ORGANISATION**:
You will be reporting to the Technical Leader in the Southeast Asia region and be in charge of providing both onsite (shipyards) and offsite service and support to customers to resolve any operational issues on the company-installed equipment in Singapore and Southeast Asia (SEA) region. This is a hands-on role requiring you to work onsite. In addition, you are responsible for customer relationship management and pre-sales activity in the region.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Technical expertise and customer support**: Installation, commissioning, validation, and maintenance of capital equipment onsite (shipyards) and at the company workshop in Singapore.

**Customer relationship management**: Serve as customer facing technical resource and work in collaboration with technicians and clients across Asia Pacific region with utmost priority to quality and safety.

**Documentation**: Create and maintain installation data, service information, and repair log in the company enterprise database. Prepare case studies for other engineers to understand and learn different challenges faced onsite, the solutions, and best practises to follow.

**Workshop management**: Make sure that the company workshop is well maintained, the tools and equipment’s are clean and easily available to use.

**Requirements**:
**YOUR PROFILE**:

- You have a degree in Marine, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent work experience in marine capital equipment.
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience in repairs, maintenance, and commissioning work in the marine or shipping, or offshore industry.
- Experience working on machinery or equipment like engines, gearboxes, or propulsion systems will be an added advantage.
- You are entrepreneurial and can develop service revenue for the company.
- You have good analytical skills with the ability to solve challenging problems at the customer end.
- You have good communication, the ability to work independently and hands-on.
- You need to travel overseas (occasionally) and across your assigned country (frequently).
