**Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to service centers including but not limited to:

- Review inspection report
- Provide recommendations for method of repair
- Conduct level 1 root cause failure analysis which consists of: providing possible cause of failure based on observations made on components during inspection
- Provide recommendation of upgrade based on findings
- Provide guidance and recommendations for strip down, assembly and setting of complex or non-Sulzer (Brand X) equipment.

Provide technical support to Field Service
- Reply to technical queries
- Assist them with instructions for complex commissioning or troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to customer and Front end team

Conduct level 2 & 3 root cause failure analysis which consists of:

- Liaise with customer to gather data required for analysis
- Reviewing site data provided by customer
- Take measurement on equipment at site with vibration analyzer, ultra-sonic flow meter, thermodynamic method
- Analyze data collected during the site assessment
- Prepare detailed root cause failure analysis report with background, result of analysis and recommendations
- Liaise with other manufacturing sites engineering when additional information is required on equipment to reply to customer queries, support service center or conduct root cause failure analysis.
- Liaise with Retrofit Specialist and Advance Engineer when a Retrofit opportunity is identified, and provide all relevant information.
- Conduct detail engineering required for modification and upgrade of equipment in the service center, by providing rework drawings, component drawings, BOM, material specification, etc and update equipment information in SAP to reflect the modifications.
- Conduct reverse engineering of components in the service center or at customer site by using conventional measuring tools or 3D scan.
- Participate in the development of a knowledge database for APAC engineering.
- Participate in and actively support company initiatives that support growth.
- Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.
- Be familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.
- Be familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
- All other duties as relevant to the post.

**Education requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

**Job experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in centrifugal pump design, testing and repair.
- Relevant experience in Power and Oil & Gas industries, including knowledge of industry process, practices & standards.
- Relevant experience in using calculation tools and software for pump design.

**Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language)**:

- Design and draughting skills
- CAD (2D and 3D), and general computer skills
- Previous experience using 3D scan and associated software for post processing and modelling
- Travel within SEA (Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines)
