[What the role is]
MANAGER, BUS ASSETS
[What you will be working on]
You will be leading the team responsible for overseeing the assets’ renewal / replacement through (1) procurement of electric and cleaner energy buses, and (2) procurement of bus onboard equipment to ensure the assets meet the operational needs of a safe, green and reliable public bus transport. In your role, you will drive budget preparation, as well as the tender requirements development, calling and evaluation and award, as well as conduct pre-delivery inspections and testing for bus onboard equipment in accordance with the contract. In addition, you will coordinate with other divisions to manage the seamless integration of key systems and technologies on to bus platform. Beyond these, you will conduct market scanning of bus technology developments and trends to recommend new bus design specifications that meet public transport needs.
[What we are looking for]
1. Tertiary Engineering qualification, preferably with a discipline in Electrical / Electronic/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2. At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
3. Familiar with hybrid / electric vehicles topologies will be an advantage
4. Experience of project management across the whole project life cycle, including managing contractors/vendors.
5. Experience of managing a team to meet tight deadlines
6. Experience in the public bus or related industry and in data analytics will be an advantage
7. Possess excellent leadership, analytical, planning, execution, problems solving and communication skills
8. Communicate effectively in terms of strong written and presentation skills with an eye for details and is IT savvy
9. Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently
