**Job Description**:
To train, lead and monitor Stewarding Attendants

To maintain the cleanliness of the Kitchen and related equipment

To multi-task & work “hands on” during shortages of stewarding attendants.

Responsible for the direct supervision of the Stewarding Department & ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, cleanliness, organization, and service in its daily operations.

Responsible for the operations of the Stewarding Department, in the absence of the Chief Steward

To ensure that all staffs have the proper tools and training for daily operations (daily tasks, safety practices, PPE, and emergency procedures)

Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, Chief Steward, and Management, as well as the Management personnel from other departments.

To manage all inventory for cleaning chemical & supplies.

To manage the stewarding store, crockery & cutlery inventory (record all breakages).

Perform basic troubleshooting of ware washing and certain kitchen equipment.

To report all problems to Chief Steward, Executive Chef & Engineering Department.

Make daily operational decisions.

Check cleanliness of Kitchen equipment/utensils

Ensure sweeping and mopping of kitchen, staff follows hygiene & sanitation practices.

Ensure that all PPE are in working condition and timely update of all staff details.

Ensure update of chemicals list

TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma holder.

Food Hygiene Course - required.

First Aid & Hospitality Supervision Course are preferred.

Minimum 3 years stewarding/kitchen supervisory experience. Previous hotel working experience is preferred.
