**Backend Server Software Engineer (Mobile Game company)
Work Location: mTower (near Labrador Park MRT station), Singapore

Work Hours: Mon to Fri (hybrid 3days WFO and 2days WFH arrangement)

**Job Description:
**Responsibilities:
- Work in close collaboration with frontend developers, game designers, and artists to ensure the seamless integration of backend functionalities into mobile gaming experiences.
- Responsible for driving the development, optimization, and upkeep of backend server systems for mobile games.
- Plan the project roadmap and managing the backlog, server logic, server-client communication, deployment processes, data storage solutions, capacity scaling, and server integration.
- Utilizing cloud computing services such as AWS or Google Cloud to deploy and manage the backend infrastructure for our mobile games.
- Implement security protocols to safeguard player data, maintain compliance with privacy regulations, and ensure server integrity and security against threats such as DDoS attacks.
- Monitor and analyze server performance metrics during high-traffic periods, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.Code review and give feedback and suggestions to improve code base in terms of efficiency and readability.

**Job Requirements:
- Singaporean
- Education: Possess Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field OR equivalent work experience
- 2 or more years of experience in production software development and/or backend operations
- Deep knowledge on relational database for configuring database, designing efficient tables and query.
- Experience in Linux configuration and administration
- Experience with distributed Source Code Management (SCM) tools, e.g. Git
- Proficiency in developing (C++ / Python / JavaScript / Java / Go / Lua) and managing backend services for Unity engine
- Ability to design and setup high availability infrastructure in AWS across availability zones and availability regionsAbility to design and setup infrastructure on AWS taking advantage of disaster recovery design guidelines
