Ocean Infinity is seeking Ocean Drill Supervisors, to manage the day to day operations, maintenance activities, inventory management and associated reporting for Ocean Infinity’s fleet of Ocean Drills.
What you will do:
- Acting as shift supervisor and OD operator as per project requirements;- Assuming responsibility for the safe and efficient conduct of drilling operations as instructed by the OD Superintendent, including both drilling crew and equipment;- Conducting Tool Box Talks and Risk Assessments, and maintain and promote the use of OI Standard Operating Procedures;- Serving as lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing direction to junior personnel;- Compliance with applicable permit to work systems;- Ensuring that the regular preventative maintenance activities are performed in a safe and timely manner so as to prevent downtime;- Support upgrades, modifications, and deployment turnarounds;- Promote efficient issue resolution, escalating problems for support that cannot be quickly resolved.
Who you are:
- Demonstrated leadership qualities;- Extensive knowledge of seabed drilling equipment, its mobilisation and operational use;- Knowledge of PTW systems, marine operations, lifting equipment and accessories;- Capability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematic diagrams and detail drawings, and troubleshoot systems related to subsea equipment and on deck support equipment;- Excellent communication skills, and able to work with colleagues at all levels of the operations team to achieve operational goals;- A high level of flexibility, successfully adapting to changing demands, requirements and conditions;- Ability to work in a highly pressurized and fast paced environment;- Self-motivated and ability to detect and resolve problems.
Required Experience- OPITO approved HUET / BOSIET offshore safety training;- Minimum 10 years industry experience in related areas;- Minimum 5 years offshore experience;
Qualifications/Special Training- Tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification - desirable;- Recognized qualification in Managing Safely, including but not limited to, Risk Management, Permit to Work, Lifting Operations, Work at Height.
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
