Key Responsibilities:
- Curating the samples and specimens held in the lab- Using the digital auto-montage to photograph specimens- Mentoring undergraduate students- Helping with DNA extraction of samples- Helping with fieldwork- Assisting with day-to-day running of the Lab e.g. ordering equipment, assisting with invoicing, managing the lab website and Dropbox, writing SOPs- Helping with outreach activities e.g. website, blogs, video diaries, Flickr- Helping to analyze data and write scientific papers.

Job Requirements:
- BSc in biological sciences- Knowledge and experience of museum curation techniques- Experience of databasing biological specimens- Experience working with insect collections and knowledge of entomology- Knowledge of database software (e.g. Access), and statistical packages (e.g. R).- Knowledge and enthusiasm for working on invertebrates- Experience of auto-montage techniques- Willingness to learn new techniques and skills- Enthusiasm, good team work and collaboration, good English oral and written communication skills, and an ability to work independently.- Preferably with prior experience in entomology with field and lab work experience
