**Job Description** We’re looking for a **Non-Executive Director** **to join us in Singapore.**

**Main Purpose & Duties of the Role**

Non-executive directors (NED) will work alongside executive directors to objectively oversee the management of Wise.
As a NED you will be required to:

- Provide effective and entrepreneurial leadership.
- Objectively scrutinise operational, financial and risk management performance.
- Ensure that the company’s obligations towards stakeholders are met.
- Constructively challenge proposals.
- Provide strategic direction.
- Be able to advise the company through periods of change and demonstrate a thorough understanding and appreciation of the issues facing a complex and developing organisation in a changing environment.
- Must be able to balance the need to remain independent from the day-to-day business, while maintaining a level of knowledge that will enable you to oversee effectively.

**Qualifications** Experience, Background and specific Competencies**

You must have the following:

- 10 years of relevant experience relating to the Capital Markets Services Licence regulated activity of Dealing in Collective Investment Schemes for retail investors; together with 5 years of managerial experience during this 10 year period.
- Experience of operating at a senior level, preferably as a NED or executive director, in a financial services organisation.
- Have knowledge of risk, compliance, governance and the role of board.
- Strong business acumen.
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment in which the company operates.
- Be able to analyse and interpret complex data.
- Strong communication skills.

**Time Commitment**

As NED you must be able to attend quarterly board meetings and ad-hoc meetings as required.

You should also set aside a minimum of 10 hours a year to prepare for meetings and meet with management.
