**About Engineering Good**:
Engineering Good (EG) is a Singapore-based non-profit organisation founded in 2014. We empower low-income and vulnerable communities with technological and engineering solutions. Our two main thrusts are Digital Inclusion and Assistive Technology.
Our Digital Inclusion activities chiefly focus on salvaging and repairing used laptops which are then re-distributed to vulnerable communities such as low-income families. This will also prevent laptops in working condition ending up as e-waste.
Our Assistive Technology efforts focus on helping persons with disabilities through developing assistive devices that help them live a life of independence and opportunity.
Together with a growing group of committed volunteers and staff, we have supported over 200 social service agencies in Singapore to-date. We have enabled low-income students to attend online classes, assisted a visually impaired senior feed his service dog, helped a child in a boys’ home to learn coding, and more
**Job Purpose**:
As the General Manager at EG, you will act as the ambassador of the organisation, and play a critical role in ensuring sound management of resources and delivery of impactful programmes. You will work closely with regulators, cross-sectoral partners, and volunteers from all areas of life on strategy development and review, fundraising and grants management, programme implementation and impact measurement. You will lead the staff team of EG to deliver our work to a high standard of professionalism and corporate governance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
You will report to the Chairperson of the Board of EG and be responsible for the following:
- Represent EG in interactions with regulators, partners and other external stakeholders such as media
- Build and maintain strategic alliances and partnerships
- Be active in engagements and collaborations that would enhance EG’s brandand reputation in the industry
- Work closely with the Board to expand EG's impact on the communities we serve, as well as develop and implement mid
- to long-term strategic initiatives that are aligned with our vision and mission
- Oversee all operational functions, including but not limited to: budget planning,fundraising and grants management, financial analysis and reporting (including special audit reports where required for programmes), regulatory compliance, programmes (including Monitoring & Evaluation reports) and communications.
- Foster a positive working environment for staff and volunteers, and create growth plans for people development and leadership
**Attributes, Skills and Competencies**:
- Dynamic, goal-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving, organisational, and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of financial and relationship management
- Proven leadership skills
- Experience in a similar senior leadership role with P&L and people management responsibilities
- Knowledge of digital technology and/or engineering for social impact
- A good understanding of, and empathy for the social issues among EG’s beneficiaries
**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 8 to 10 years relevant managerial and leadership experience
- Leadership experience in a social/impact organisation is advantageous but not
compulsory
