Our client’s childcare centre at Dempsey is looking for a passionate Childcare Centre Gardener.

Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm
Work Location: Dempsey

- Monitoring the health of all plants and greenscapes
- Perform watering and feeding of plants
- Able to trim trees and shrubs
- Have basic knowledge of gardening and planting - able to grow plants and vegetables
- Maintenance of outdoor water fountain
- Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery - mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers
- Keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter
- Deal with pest problems that could damage plants
- Ensuring outdoor green spaces and outdoor play areas cleaned and sanitized
- Help to bring and empty trash bins
- Ensure outdoor eating area is washed daily
- Any other suitable/additional duties, without additional remuneration that may be assigned by the Centre Director or his/her duly appointed representative.

**Requirements**:

- Physically Fit (Ability to lift heavy objects and ability to remain on feet for long period)
- Passion to work with children
- Love of the outdoors and plant life
- Extensive knowledge of reginal plant life
- Experience in gardening
- Familiar with landscaping design
- Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them
- Good communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Integrity
