**The Role
The Senior Consultant Architect role at CloudCover begins at the level of business problems and works with the technology C-Suite to understand their needs and wants and then develop technology strategies to address them.

The aim of consulting architecture is to talk at a business language level and agree desired outcomes, take those outcomes and translate them into distinct and achievable technology goals and strategies.

A key foundation of consulting architecture is to work behind the problem and to recognise and advise the C-Suite on non-obvious constraints they need to consider and enable decisions that they need to make to be a success in delivering their technology strategies.

Finding, agreeing and solving for these constraints and helping inform decisions is crucial. Understanding what these constraints and decisions mean within a particular business context and how they impact technology decisions to deliver technology enabling strategies is what the role is all about.

**Required Skills**:

- 6+ years hands on experience in Cloud technology, Development or Network Administration.
- 10+ years in architecture
- Proven experience working with senior business and technology leaders to develop vision architectures linking to and describing business outcomes and value propositions
- Identify and define business goals
- Identify and define technology strategy and drivers to realise business goals
- Identify constraints and suggest methods and means to address them and ensure delivery of technology strategy
- Work from vision, to develop target state information systems architecture. This architecture is the ‘city plan’ and allows our team of cloud architects and delivery specialists to develop necessary implementation architectures to fulfill the plan.
- Translate the ‘city plan’ into direct and measurable key results that can be aligned with business goals and outcomes.
- Develop architecture roadmaps of both capability, solutions and tools to fulfill the vision and ‘city plan’
- Identify gaps in delivery capabilities, tools and methods to meet the roadmap and plan and propose solutions for their fulfillment.
- Exceptional analytical and documentation, communication and presentation skills.

**Bonus Skills**
- 2+ years in pre-sales roles
- Experience with AI, IoT tools and methods
- Experience with IaC delivery such as Terraform, Cloud Formations and Ansible.
- Experience in information risk management frameworks such as COBIT, HITRUST and SABSA
- Good interpersonal style, collaborative, congenial, client-friendly demeanor
- Experience in stakeholder management, risk & issue management
- Project management skills

**Certifications
- CSP Professional or Expert Architecture certification
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator
- CSP Security Certificate or higher (CCSP, CCSK)
- Togaf 9 Certified.
