**Position Summary**
- We are seeking a **hands-on Mechanical Engineering Service Manager**to lead our mechanical service operations in Singapore. This role is ideal for a proven leader who thrives in both **technical execution**and **strategic oversight**—someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, solve complex breakdowns, and lead teams by example.
- You will manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, oversee project planning, client interfacing, and service delivery, while also being **directly involved in on-site mechanical jobs**, especially for **service, repair, rebuild, and preventive maintenance**of **client CNC machines**as well as **our company-owned stock machines and internal projects**.

**Key Responsibilities**

**General Duties**:

- Lead and manage all mechanical service activities in the Singapore region.
- Align service strategy with client requirements and company direction.
- Supervise scheduling and execution of:

- Client machine **service, repair, rebuild, and preventive maintenance**:

- In-house machine **refurbishment and reconditioning projects**
- Coordinate manpower, tools, and spare parts for efficient operations.
- Represent the company in client-facing job planning and technical reviews.
- Be available to travel for overseas assignments as required.

**Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)**:

- Ensure full compliance with MOM safety regulations and client HSE standards.
- Lead toolbox meetings and safety briefings; enforce strict safety protocols.
- Address non-compliance through immediate corrective actions.

**Legal & Compliance**:

- Ensure service operations meet regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Maintain documentation for all service agreements and NDAs.

**Management**:

- Conduct technician performance reviews, training, and recruitment.
- Liaise with planning and procurement teams for timely project execution.
- Oversee job costing, invoicing accuracy, and service profitability.

**Technical Responsibilities**
- **Lead or assist in mechanical troubleshooting and complex fault diagnosis**, especially involving CNC mechanical drive systems and rotating equipment.
- **Actively participate in fieldwork**during:

- CNC machine relocations, alignments, and recommissioning
- Critical **repair, service, and rebuild jobs**for customer and in-house machines
- **Preventive maintenance programs**execution and scheduling
- Approve and review service scopes, execution plans, and quality control documentation.
- Plan and oversee rigging, levelling, installation, and recommissioning of new or relocated CNC machines.
- **Provide technical mentorship on-site**, ensuring quality workmanship and efficiency.

**Required Experience / Qualifications**:

- **Diploma or Degree**in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 8-10 years minimum in CNC machine tool service, mechanical maintenance, or similar.
- Strong **field experience**in mechanical troubleshooting, alignment, and rebuilds.
- Demonstrated ability to **manage and work alongside a multi-discipline team**of technicians.
- Hands-on experience in CNC machine installation, facility relocation, and servicing of rotating equipment.
- Experience delivering **preventive maintenance schedules and rebuild projects**.
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients on technical and project matters.
- Must be proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of working under pressure.
