We are looking to hire a **Software Validation Engineer (Linux / Train Transport domain) **in Singapore to support the operations of our client, a global MNC. This position is with the software validation team in Singapore.

The person joining the team will be working on the software and system verification and validation of the ISCS. This system is a large distributed system in operation, interfacing with various MRT facilities.

In the course of your work, you will learn and appreciate the system engineering methodologies used in the transport (in particular MRT) domain. You will help with the automation of the engineering process to enhance the integrity of the system. You will also work with the software and system team on data visualization and verification under the software development life cycle.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support software verification and Validation process
- Participate in the onsite activities including system installation, system configuration, pre-on-site test activities
- Participate and coordination of on-site test and commissioning activities with customer as witness
- Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests is expected
- Troubleshooting and creating tools to resolve incidents
- Document and communicate procedures, configurations and standards effectively
- The person should also be proactive to help the team in any other areas within the scope of software development life cycle.

**Requirements**:

- Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering with at least 2 years relevant railway environment working experiences
- Willing to work in night shifts or weekend
- Proficiency in Linux operating system internals and network concepts.
- Experience developing tools using the scripting language such as Python
- Ability to learn new technologies in complex operational control systems.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive
