Accountable for the overall management of a store, ensuring day to day activities are effectively carried out to deliver the store KPIs. Responsible for the sales and operations of the store(s) that they are assigned.
1. Financial Responsibilities
- To achieve the store’s sales profit and wage budgets and adherence to other cost budgets
- Bank in daily sales amount in accordance to cash handling procedures set by the Company.
2. Operational Responsibilities
- Store Layout
- Ensure stores adhere to Group branding standards
- Effective interface and communication between stores and other departments are encouraged.
- Sales Promotion
- Champions Own Brand products and work closely with team to highlight to customers the potential benefit of using OB or Exclusive products
- Promotions are well signed and ticketed.
- Information on the Weekly Bulletin pertaining to new products/price change/promotion/special offers/ products deletion are complied with and disseminated to the staff concerned.
3. Stock
- Stocks levels are maintained in relations to sales.
- Stocks loss is to be managed within target set.
- Ensure all goods received are in correct quantities, in good condition and within expiry guidelines.
- Ensure all invoices received are in order/complete and submitted to Finance Dept within deadlines given.
- Stocks shrinkage is minimized through compliance on guidelines in Zero Tolerance and ROS.
- Routine stocktaking exercises are planned, organised and carried out carefully to ensure accuracy.
4. Manpower
- Motivate, coach and encourage team member to actively sell OB and Exculsive products
- Supervisory staff’s duty rosters are carefully planned and staff movements are effectively monitored.
- Training, maintenance, improvement and control of customer service are effectively carried out.
- Staff are dressed, groomed and presented according to Company standard.
5. Housekeeping & work place safety
- Ensure the sales floor are kept clean and clear of hazards and Stock rooms are well kept with proper label.
6. Administration
- Till operating and in-store cash flow procedures, invoices and purchase orders are properly managed. Any deviation should be reported to the Area Manager immediately.
- Compilation of the daily and weekly sales reports as and when required.
- To manage all standards relating to the store running and enforces strict confidentiality in respect of all company matters.
- Timely reporting on new developments/changes in store operating environment (Retail Trade Zone) to Area / Cluster Manager concerned.
7. Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
**Education & Experience**
- Diploma/GCE “A”/”O” levels
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Retail
