Provide support to the health services and systems research at Lien Centre for Palliative Care for a variety of IT functions including but not limited to the following:
- Provide technical support for websites, including UI/UX design and content updates.
- Extract, prepare, merge, clean and present data for statistical analysis, policy-making and other uses.
- Support project-related activities that require inputs from IT, including IT specifications, writing specifications for quotations and tenders, working with external vendors to ensure that project specifications are met, as well as technical and administrative support for Learning Management Systems.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the IT work of the department.
**Job Requirements**:
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or other related disciplines.
- LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack
- PHP framework (Laravel, CodeIgniter)
- HTML5, Javascript (jQuery,Vue.js), CSS (Bootstrap)
- Prior experience with creating responsive, interactive, and attractive websites. Experience in performing web scraping will be advantageous.
- Familiar with software version control and code scanning tools (such as GitLab and HP Fortify).
- Able to pick up new skills quickly and adapt to evolving needs.
- Demonstrate understanding of user needs in order to propose IT solutions and implement them.
- Able to manage outsourced IT vendors.
- Possess good communication skills and strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task with tight deadlines.
- Independent, resourceful, and with good problem-solving skills.
- Be a self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
