**What you’ll do**
- Reporting to the Legal Director of Commercial, Disputes and Employment, or Senior Counsel, you will be an important member among our team of commercial lawyers.
- You will support the Legal Director principally focusing on commercial issues and contracts, and may also support on disputes and employment work although you are not required to have prior specialism in this area.
- You and the team will handle on-going commercial issues and contracts globally, such as sponsorships, advertising, procurement, MOUs, NDAs, token listings, terms and conditions, brokerage, licensing and custody agreements.
- You will also be responsible for addressing commercial contracts risks within the company, and introducing and implementing measures to mitigate and reduce such risks.
- Where appropriate, you will be representing Bitget before commercial parties in negotiations.
- You will lead the efforts to manage external law firms including their engagement, review of their work and approval of fees with on-going matter-management to ensure the best results for Bitget.
- You will represent the legal team before internal stakeholders to provide robust, commercially sensible, accurate and practical advice and to manage their expectations throughout the life of the matter.
- Support the Legal Director in their work as well as the business teams in their efforts to grow the company.
- You will seek efficient automated methods to scale-up commercial contracts support for the company.

**What you’ll need**
- Qualified lawyer ideally with at least 2 years of PQE legal experience from a leading common law jurisdiction.
- Experience from a reputable in-house organisation and/or top-tier law firm is highly valued.
- Located in APAC time-zone with Hong Kong and Singapore being preferred jurisdictions.
- Experience and knowledge of crypto products and transactions preferred.
- Track-record of leading commercial contract matters from beginning-to-end.
- Knowledge of the current legal operations efficiency methods to re-design the contracts flow.
- Experience with procurement teams and terms is a plus.
- Start-up experience is preferred, especially demonstrable experience in handling complex legal matters in fast-paced and exacting situations.
- Experience and knowledge of the crypto-regulatory environment and advising on product launches is highly valued.
- Has the ability to work independently and make tough decisions
- Hands on at work and can be independent in managing complex projects.
- Excellent legal drafting and interpretation skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, fluency in Mandarin highly preferred to be able to work with regional markets.
