**SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - MARINE OPERATIONS AND CREWING**
- Experience of more than 10 years in the ship management field
- Excellent communications skills in English
- Liaising with Owners, Brokers, Charterers, Agents for all Cargo related activities.
- Ensuring all Pre/Post fixture related documentations and queries are followed up timely and effectively.
- Monitoring compliance with Charter Parties, trading area, employment of vessels.
- Monitoring all Inspections are closed out pertaining Terminal/PSC/P&I timely.
- Ensuring that cargo, pollution, compatibility, under-performance claims are addressed effectively.
- Utilise risk-based approach ensuring all tasks are carried out safely.
- All operational and crewing related agreements to be signed and controlled.
- Member of crisis team
- Monitoring the budget activities for Operational and crewing activities
- Providing support and marine solutions to the commercial department during pre-fixture stage of charter party negotiations
- Monitoring of vessel loadable and maximizing commercial performance of the vessel, always in accordance with c/p
- Monitoring of vessel tank cleaning operations to meet the required standards
- Always ensuring compliance with port requirements and optimizing port turnaround to maximize vessel earnings.
- Responsible to ensure that all ships are manned with properly qualified officers and crew
- Developing the crew pool either through internal crewing resources or in collaboration with third party manning companies
- Continual improvement of crew pool knowledge through use of internal courses targeted at improving crew operations on board vessels
- Budgeting, crew management and ensuring the smooth running of vessels with respect to all crewing matters
- Active participation in Union related matters including relationship building exercises
- Verify if the Operations team and Fleet Personnel team resources are adequate to handle the respective Fleet and be responsible for recruiting the qualified personnel
- Ensuring that the vessels are covered by ITF/Union agreements where required
- Promote teamwork as a valuable asset by recognising the strengths, competence and limitations of the people within the team
- To assist in TMSA/ISO/ISM audits for the relevant elements
