[What the role is]

This position resides with the Properties & Facilities Management Division. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Security & Emergency Preparedness, the Senior Manager (Emergency Preparedness) will oversee the Emergency Preparedness section. He/she will provide operational leadership and management of emergency preparedness functions by driving and executing policies, plans, processes and procedures relating to emergency preparedness, workplace safety & health and business continuity to ensure NLB’s adequacies in infrastructure protection, workplace safety and timely response in handling incidents, emergencies and crisis.

**[What you will be working on]**

Leadership in Crisis Management
- Preparedness in dealing with crisis even when all may be calm. Conceptualise, lead & drive cross-Divisional’ s efforts in crisis management operations for various scenarios (e.g. pandemic, terror related).
- Engage internal & external stakeholders to obtain buy-ins, and to motivate the co-ordinating Divisions to ensure alignment & enforcement.
- In the forefront in keeping pace with the evolving situation, to interpret the intent & principles of the National guidelines & the WOG advisories, to consider parent ministry’s perspectives, and to translate the broad guidelines to suit NLB’s operating context, to map out the granular operational details and seek senior management’s endorsement for implementation.
- Keep abreast of the developments in other sectors, to have the foresight on the emerging trends, and to constantly adapt & align the crisis response plans to the National posture, to ensure nation wide’s concerted efforts are optimised.

Business Continuity Management
- Review and implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analysis, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
- Identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risks caused by business, regulatory, or industry-specific change initiatives.
- Review and manage risk assessments at all NLB’s properties and develop strategies and policies relating to emergency and contingency planning.
- Plan, conduct, and debrief regular emergency preparedness activities and exercises to validate the adequacy of existing plans and strategies.
- Lead the coordination with government authorities (e.g., SCDF, Police) and internal stakeholders in the event of an emergency.
- Lead, plan and coordinate to ensure attainment of recertifications for BCM ISO22301.

Workplace Safety & Health (WSH)
- Lead and formulate strategies to drive WSH culture across NLB.
- Oversee the implementation of NLB’s WSH framework.
- Lead and ensure attainment of WSH/BizSAFE certifications.

**[What we are looking for]**
- Minimum 6 or more years of relevant working experience in crisis management, business continuity planning and/or workplace safety & health or related fields. Leadership experience in the development and implementation of policies, SOPs and processes will be preferred.
- Self-driven, resourceful and team player
- Good analytical, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Sound management and good leadership skills
- Adept at both operations and administrations with sound organisational planning skills
- Familiarity with relevant WOG crisis management plans/operations, Singapore Standards, Codes of Practices, and regulatory guidelines would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be appointed on an initial 2-year contract.
