1. To be under the direction of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist for the following:
a) Carry out specific exercises and activities

b) To train residents & clients on how to:

- transfer bed to wheelchair, transfer wheelchair to toilet, transfer wheelchair to chair.
- train mobility skills inside and outside the centre including sitting and standing balance.
- train the use of equipment e.g. wheelchair and can opener.
- assist/train use of the computer.
- help train - dressing, eating, grooming, toileting skills.
- train community skills using, MRT, money skills etc., where required.

c) To take group exercise programs including sporting and games.

d) To monitor residents and clients during hydrotherapy sessions.

e) To assist in inventory checking of rehab equipments.

f) Any other duties as allocated by Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist when need arises.

2. To be under the direction of the Senior Nursing Officer or Nursing Officers for the following:
a) Help to give out morning breakfast and feed the residents.

b) Help to bathe residents when short of attendants.

c) Do dressing when required.

d) Feed residents at all mealtime.

e) Attend to the needs of residents on weekends and public holidays.

f) Accompany residents to Outpatient Department and Hospitals, when required.

g) Answer and take phone messages.

h) Help serve medicine when required under the direct supervision of the Nursing Officer.

i) Cut the finger nails of residents.

j) Supervise the personal hygiene of residents’ brushing of teeth etc.

k) Any other duties as allocated by Senior Nursing Officer/Nursing Officers when need arises.

**ADMINISTRATION**

a) To take attendance, temperature, blood pressure etc.

b) To fill out daily report book.

c) Maintain inventory and coordinates maintenance and repair of equipment and assistive devices.

d) To clean and tidy the department.

e) To have undertaken, training program in first aid and to administer first aid where required.

f) Where required to assist transporting residents/clients from one area to another.

g) To have undertaken training in techniques of lifting residents/clients.

h) Typing, filing of reports, therapy schedules etc. as instructed by Therapists.
