Senior Quality Inspector, Ndt

Performs independently most aspects of QAQC control inspection activities guided by supervisor. Requires full knowledge of quality control and inspection in respective discipline of work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the quality of the site installation is consistent with the company policy requirements together with the approved drawings, with international standards and meeting applicable project specifications.
- Ensure the Subcontractor follows the current industrial standards, project requirements and manufacturer recommendations, where applicable for installation and its inspection requirements during installation.
- Works under general supervision and instructions from the supervisor as per established procedures to perform varied tasks.
- Reviews / Verifies / Approves QA/ QC Inspection and Testing reports submitted by fabricator and also relevant ITRs. Does punch list inspection and clears rectification of punches as applicable in respective discipline.
- Monitor day to day quality control activities and maintain effective coordination with the respective construction team members to perform the necessary quality control activities.
- Raise observation report / Non-conformance report / punch list when necessary for work not meeting the applicable requirements and assist in resolving them.
- Read understand and implement project related ITP, Procedures, Specification requirements
- Witnesses and approves tests conducted by fabricator as applicable.
- Liaises, where required, with Certification Authority and client inspectors for acceptance of work. Writes reports on inspection and surveillance duties.
- Working knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, Classification and Certification. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Commitment to take responsibility. Guide Level 1 and II
- Assist with incident notification, investigation and preventative actions when required/instructed
- Know their role in the event of an emergency as site specific emergency response is conducted and drilled.
- Has proven capability successfully as an inspector for 3 years minimum.
- Handle more than one discipline e.g. piping and mechanical.
- Capable of guiding inspector I in at least two disciplines

NDT
- Assist and support the project teams on all NDT matters.
- Review Vendor/ subcontractor NDT procedures, processes and documentation in order to determine that applicable NDT requirements are satisfied.
- Review vendor/subcontractor NDT personnel certifications
- Implement NDT personnel verification program and NDT surveillance program in projects when required.
- Assist in failure analyses and root cause analysis on NDT related issues.
- Review subcontractors’ documents and technical qualifications.
- Assist in subcontractor assessments/audits.
- Review and approve subcontractors' NDT procedures.
- Witness and monitor NDT activities at sub-contractor premises.
- Ensure that records are maintained for all NDT activities to demonstrate achievement of client requirements.
- Implement NDT personnel verification program and NDT surveillance program in projects when required.

Qualifications:

- Diploma in Mech or any relevant Engineering discipline preferred
- Specialist training and certification in relevant discipline certification or equivalent is required
- ASNT Level III certification or equivalent in all commonly used methods
- 5 to 7 years of experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO
- Working knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, classification
- Relevant working experience in oil and gas sector in a similar position
